Mother Dont Care

As a mobile IT engineer working in the retail sector I see a lot of members of the general public going about their business while I go about mine. Sometimes the folk I see are pleasant, sometimes they are vacuous and sometimes they are simply scum who have about less right to walk on God's clean earth than a weasel.

Today I'm going to talk about an incident which took place in a branch of "Mothercare" somewhere in the eastern counties of England on Sunday just gone.

One of my many tasks on that day was to replace a failed machine on the shop floor during trading hours. So, I took my tools, opened my box and crawled under the counter to start the job in hand.

Many customers were present, but the one who caught my ear was the mother of a small child who on his approach to the checkout said to his parent in a very loud and clear voice "MUM, I WANT A FUCKING LOLLY". Her reply to him was just as loud "SHUT THE FUCK UP" to which he retorted "BUT I WANT A FUCKING LOLLY NOW".

Now if I had dared to speak to my parents like that, especially in a public place all hell would have broken loose, the world would have collapsed around me and I'm sure that you dear reader would have a similar experience.

But no, in this modern world apparently, it is perfectly acceptable for a small child to use the F word to his parents and it is just as acceptable for the parents to use the same word back.

Now, I don't want to pass judgement on this ladies parenting skills, but she didn't look the type who was even in the running for "Mother of the Year" if you get my drift. She looked the sort of woman who thinks that Katie Price is a good role model for young working (or in this case dolescum) mothers.

Now, just in case you're wondering, yes, the foul mouthed little brat did indeed get a lollipop.

Everyone else seems to have started a blog, so I suppose
that it's only right and proper that I follow suit.

Now everything you read here is purely my opinion, some may
consider what I have to say sexist, racist or offensive. So be warned.

Past this point, everything changes and you've got to be
ready.
